5. VFW Voice of Democracy Scholarship

🎓 Who Can Apply: Students in grades 9–12. Students write and record an audio essay responding to the 2026–27 theme, “What a Veteran Taught Me About America.” Entries go through a participating VFW Post. VFW
6. Jack Kent Cooke College Scholarship Program
💰 Award: Up to $55,000 per year

🎓 Who Can Apply: High-achieving high school seniors with financial need who plan to attend a four-year college. The scholarship can help cover tuition, living expenses, books and required fees. Jack Kent Cooke Foundation
7. Chick-fil-A Community Scholars
💰 Award: 13 students receive $25,000 each
📅 Deadline: November 3, 2026
🎓 Who Can Apply: Students pursuing education at an accredited college, university or vocational/technical school. Selection considers academic success, community service and financial need. You do not have to work at Chick-fil-A to apply for the Community Scholars program. Chick-fil-A

🎓 Who Can Apply: Eligible students attending a UNCF-member institution or accredited HBCU. This is a need-based scholarship. UNCF
11. CIEE Scholarships & Grants
💰 Award: Varies; certain grants provide up to $2,000 toward program fees and up to $1,500 toward airfare

13. Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship
